Sammy G’s Italian Escape: A Gluten-Free Hit or Miss?

You know that moment when you walk into a restaurant, and everything just screams "magic"? That was Sammy G’s in Palm Springs—cozy little courtyard vibes, twinkling lights overhead, and the sound of water trickling from a fountain in the center. It was like stepping into a dreamy Italian postcard.

But here’s the thing: when you’re gluten-free, Italian restaurants can be a total heartbreak. We’ve learned the hard way that pasta-heavy menus don’t always cater to us. So, with cautious optimism, we dove into the menu, hoping for a gluten-free win.

And then—BOOM—one dish knocked our socks off! The Cauliflower Ceviche Bruschetta was so crispy, light, and flavorful that we kept asking (and re-asking) if the cauliflower crostini was actually gluten-free. Imagine a golden crust topped with diced tomatoes, capers, balsamic vinaigrette, lemon, onion, red bell peppers, parsley, and fresh herbs—pure perfection.

But the rest? Meh. My mom’s risotto was way too dry, and my sister’s salad was… decent, but nothing to write home about.

So, would I recommend Sammy G’s? If you're gluten-free, maybe not your first stop. But if you live for an enchanting atmosphere and don’t have to worry about dietary restrictions, this spot might be right up your alley!
