Chestnut Street in San Francisco is packed with cute cafés and smoothie bars, but Earthbar is the one that feels like the perfect mix of healthy, cool, and actually delicious. It’s the kind of place where you walk in and instantly feel like you’re making a good life choice, even if the rest of your day is just wandering around the Marina.
Earthbar is simple and casual. It has this clean, modern vibe—light wood, bright lighting, and a steady flow of people who look like they’re either coming from a workout or heading to one. It smells like almond butter, espresso, and fresh fruit, which is honestly the best combination ever. The staff is quick and friendly, and the whole place feels like a little energy hub in the middle of Chestnut Street.
We kept it simple this time, but both things we ordered were so good that it didn’t even matter.
Almond Butter Banana Toast
This toast is way more impressive than it sounds. The bread is thick and hearty, toasted so it’s crunchy on the outside but still soft inside. Then there’s this generous layer of almond butter—warm, creamy, and just sweet enough. It melts slightly into the toast, which makes every bite feel cozy and rich.
The banana slices are perfectly ripe and layered neatly on top, and there’s usually a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of something crunchy that gives it texture. It’s simple, but in that perfect, “I could eat this every morning” kind of way. It tastes like comfort food that also happens to be good for you.
Protein Cold Brew
This drink is basically the definition of a power‑up. It tastes like someone blended a smooth cold brew with a protein shake, but in a way that actually works. The coffee flavor is bold but not bitter, and the protein makes it creamy without being heavy.
It’s cold, energizing, and surprisingly filling. It’s the kind of drink that makes you feel like you’re ready to take on the day—even if the only thing you’re actually doing is strolling around the neighborhood and window‑shopping.
If you’re in San Francisco and want something quick, fresh, and genuinely delicious, this is definitely the spot.
